Super Production Championship Round 1
An excellent turnout of Eighteen Members for this week's Round 1 of our Super Production Championship.

Damn good job we had that many because no less than FIVE disappeared before racing was over - we can excuse the Juniors for going home early, but ................. Oh, well! That's another story for another day. Good job our Chairman turned up late to marshall!

Same old race system this year for almost everything, qualifying was divided into rough grades to keep our newest young drivers safely away from the rest.  Best 3 runs counted, and calling this Production Championship 'Super' is perhaps a mistake as most cars are now Falcons - and some of them are too quick!

Ian B comfortably TQ'd ahead of Stuart, Jody and a re-juvenated Graham H - nice to see him back in the top four.  Behind them, things were quite closely matched and
both our two newest Juniors, Elliott and yet another Graham, put in PB's. With so many gone home before the Finals, the Race Organiser had his work cut out to re-arrange things.

The 'D' and 'E' Finals were amalgamated into a 2 person race with Simon WT winning ahead of our only lady driver, Christine.  Both managed to benefit and score a
maximum 5 bonus points each, and Christine was very pleased to set a PB as well.

The 'C' Final had only 3 drivers but was one of the best races for a while with just over half a lap seperating them at the finish - Terry having another good evening to
win from Robin and an off-form Ian K.

Malcolm quite easily won the 'B' Final from Chris C, just over a lap ahead of Roland with Chris M going well, but bringing up the rear.

Usually, the 'A' Finals are an anti-climax but this 'one turned out to be one the better ones with Ian B eventually the clear winner from Stuart, Graham H and
Jody - only a lap between 2nd and 4th.

So, that man Mr B wins another Championship Round!  Is there no stopping him?
