1/32nd Production Championship - Round 1
	This week saw the 1st Round of our Club Class Championship for the Reg Church Memorial Trophy.  14 Members once again turned up to race with another two making it later in the evening to socialise. The Class is for Parma production chassis with Falcon (or 16-D) motors, and BTCC type bodyshells - not the most loved combination but it does make for cheap and cheerful close racing. With the AGM decision to run half of the rounds in this Class in the reverse direction, it came as a surprise to find that things were perfectly normal for this 1st Round!  Which way next time? Qualifying was once again roughly graded, with the the qualifying system slightly different in this Class with drivers 'middle' two runs counting.  This didn't stop that Mr Barker from easily TQ with a Yellow Lane Class Best on the way - and not far off the Red Lane best either. Behind him things were much closer with Jody second ahead of Phil H and Chris C, and not much more than a lap seperated the next four.  Stuart should have been up among the top but had enough of his car which came to an abrupt, and final, end! With 14 drivers there should have been 4 finals but, once again, 3 dropped out for various reasons and didn't go on to score bonus points. The three man 'C' Final saw Ian K - well out of place after having earlier gear problems, easily beat Robin and Stephen. After qualifying, there was nothing to choose between the four 'B' finalists, so a close race was expected.  Of course, it didn't quite go that way but Graham H  just managed to hold off Roland  - with both of them setting their best times of the evening. Behind them, Simon J finished 3rd ahead of a slowing Malcolm. The 'A' Final was a runaway affair, dominated by Ian B beating Jody by very nearly 2 laps and setting a red lane Class Best in the process. Jody was less than a lap ahead of Phil H at the end with Chris C trailing home 4th.
